EN A report was developed collaboratively by Material Cultures and Bauhaus Earth, following an analysis of the Brandenburg region’s paludiculture and bio-based material supply chains and production cycles. The research project aims to contribute to the development of a new architectural vernacular: one whose aesthetics are rooted in circular and bio-based principles. It seeks to demonstrate the potency of cross-industry and interdisciplinary collaborations, and the critical urgency of addressing the conditions and health of our landscapes. Material Cultures' research along the supply chains of the materials take us to the different landscapes in which biobased materials can be cultivated. It’s in the woods, fields and wetlands that we have begun to explore the consequences of cultivation, for the environment, for the people who work the land, and for the non-human species that depend on it.

EN Material Cultures y Bauhaus Earth desarrollaron este informe tras un análisis de las cadenas de suministro y los ciclos de producción de paludicultura y bio-materiales en la región de Brandeburgo. El proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo contribuir al desarrollo de una nuevo vernáculo arquitectónico: Cuya estética esté arraigada en principios circulares y de sosteniblididad. Busca demostrar lel potencial de las colaboraciones interdisciplinarias, y la urgencia crítica de abordar las condiciones y la salud de nuestros paisajes. La investigación de Material Cultures a lo largo de las cadenas de suministro de los materiales nos lleva a los diferentes paisajes en los que se pueden cultivar materiales orgánicos. Es en los bosques, los campos y los humedales donde se pueden explorar las consecuencias del cultivo para el medio ambiente, para las personas que trabajan la tierra y para las especies no humanas que la habitan.
