Designing the Urban commons. Exhibition.

EN This exhibition showcased the most stimulating and challenging responses to Theatrum Mundi’s 2015 ideas competition Designing the Urban Commons. Building on Designing for Free Speech in New York, the competition invited anyone to re-imagine spaces in London as places for collaboration, sharing and collective ownership. In the context of increasing privatisation and with Britain’s history of common rights, London is the perfect place to test out commoning as an approach to the making of the city.

ES Una exposición que presentas las respuestas más estimulantes al concurso de ideas de Theatrum Mundi Designing the Urban Commons. Sobre la base de Designing for Free Speech en Nueva York de 2015, el concurso invitó a todos a volver a imaginar espacios de Londres como lugares para la colaboración, el intercambio y la propiedad colectiva. En el contexto de la creciente privatización, Londres es el lugar perfecto para probar los commons como un enfoque para la construcción de la ciudad.
